June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month and DeviantArt is celebrating as a community.  Create art in a rainbow of colors and we'll combine the pieces into one extraordinary Pride flag!
There's something amazing about the individuals who make up the DeviantArt community.  We are unlike any other community on Earth.
Here… we can express ourselves — just as we are.

When I was working on that picture I really struggled a bit. "Should I draw a kissing scene?", I was constantly thinking.
So my first sketch was a kiss that happens under a tree. The color red of the pride flag represents life and so I found the tree motif to be fitting. But the kiss felt too much like a mistletoe kiss for my taste 
When I worked on LGBTQ+ related pictures in the past I often had difficulties to find a balance between making it a clichee vs making it so subtle nobody would even notice the message.
Anyway artists like yuumei and others finally inspired me to use figures viewed from behind. I felt it would come across more natural this way

I chose the title after a song by Bloc Party,
It fits the picture in a way..... the song is about two boys having an attraction that's not really ever spoken about and it leaves space for interpretations   I recommend it xD
