Not just recently but in all these years where i uploaded drawings online, people tend to think that I am a girl.udging by my work xD
I already accepted that, because I know even tho I am rarely drawing explicit content I have some yaoi/bishonen aesthetics in my style, which is often proclaimed to be
something from and for a female community.
Definitionwise my work would be bara though, since neither am I a woman, nor do I only want to appeal to woman...
But it gets weirder. I always thought people assumed that because they know my manga work, but no xD there were a lot of people just knowing my realistic portraits and I wondered how do people come to these conclusions...
I often catch myself assuming the gender of artists, but actually often jsut end up to think most artists are female just by experience, since around 90% of art students at my Uni are girls as well as artists on german conventions.
So is it really style or just common to think most artists are girls?
Do you know more male or female artists/ does it matter to you in a way?
It certainly has an effect though....
I often find it strange to take the artists gender and to deduce the audience. the definition of BoysLove/Yaoi always bugs me a bit: that people say yaoi was only/mainly created by girls for girls....
like sometimes I think if people see my work, they might assume that I am a girl and thus feeling excluded because then "it apparently was created for girls" just because of stupid definitions
I also guess that not all female bishonen artists etc. only draw for a female audience
But enough of my thoughts, just had to get it out of my head, and since it's been a while, why not write a deviantart journal xD
Sorry for all the typos :'D

The term bara often contrasts with yaoi, which is gay male media usually made by heterosexual women to appeal to other heterosexual women. Whereas bara typically emphasizes masculine homoeroticism and frank explicit sexual situations, yaoi typically emphasizes the androgynous bishonen aesthetic and depicts emotional romantic relationships.
Nevertheless, if you would ask me, I would rate my work more yaoi because bara has a certain code and accents that my work won't deliver. But it gets weirder. Fanart Feature: Grandia
As a huge Fan of Grandia, for this month's feature I thought why not share some inspiring and gorgeous fanart of Grandia *_*
I got into collecting Vinyl :D
I am turning 30 next week and what better time it is to admit to something I thought so far only old people do. Well I am one of them now, so here it goes xD in my teenage years I was totally into buying CDs. Especially when I got interested in Gothic/Metal music. My first Nightwish album (Once) had a high emotional value for me when I was 14 and I think that rubbed off to CDs as a concept. So me and my brother kind off got into collecting CDs of our favourite bands and to be honest, that wasn't always easy with that bit of pocket money in the mid 2000s :D . But there was no spotify, so these rare tracks on a deluxe version of an album were absolutely worth it. And I also loved browsing though the booklets and getting totally immersed into the concept of an album. But why am I now talking about CDs when the title says vinyl? when I was collecting CD's with my brother it sometimes happend that in one of those deluxe versions there was a tiny vinyl record. I never really paid much
Fanart Feature: .hack
Apparently it's been 20 years already since .hack//infection was released on ps2. This game kind of played a huge role in my journey as an artist. My first nickname online was Kite, just like the main character from that game. Ok actually it was "Kite92" haha. Also visually it really inspired me a lot, the colors and atmosphere was really memorable and the OST is still one of my favourites :D. So I want to share some amazing .hack fanart I found here on deviantart x)
